Election Defense Alliance is a participatory organization of citizens working at the local, state, and national level toward a shared goal: elections that are transparent, verifiable, and accountable to the public.
Our Mission
We work to strengthen public confidence in elections by advocating for durable paper records, meaningful post-election audits, transparent chain-of-custody procedures, and robust public observation of the vote-counting process. We believe election integrity is a shared interest across the political spectrum, not a partisan cause, since every voter benefits equally from a count that can be independently verified.
How We Work
Our work combines public education, research and analysis, and direct engagement with election officials and lawmakers. We support citizen observers and poll workers, track legislation affecting election administration, and provide resources for anyone who wants to better understand or get more involved in how their own local elections are run and verified.
We welcome participation from anyone who shares our belief that a functioning democracy depends on elections the public can trust — not because they’re told to, but because the process is genuinely open to verification.
