Due to severe weather in parts of the Northeastern United States, the deadline for applications for the 2010 College Poll Worker Grant competition has been extended to Tuesday, April 6 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time for organizations that were not able to complete their applications due to weather-related disruptions. Applicants must be based in one of the five states where major disaster and emergency declarations were issued by FEMA in the days preceding the March 31 application deadline. Read more [6].
EAC reminds manufacturers that getting a system tested and certified is only a part of EAC's overall conformity assessment program. Manufacturers of EAC-certified systems are urged to review the Voting System Testing and Certification Manual [8] to ensure compliance with the program, particularly EAC's reporting and Quality Monitoring Program requirements.
